My Wonderful Week (so far)

Monday (4th of July): Worked most of the day, but my wonderful friend Hayden Gunnell stopped by for a few hours and kept me company. That night I celebrated Independence Day by going to watch the fireworks with my brothers, Alan & Justin, and Hayden. Afterward, we went to Kiwi Loco and had some yogurt.
Tuesday: Woke up at 7a.m. to go to the first day of cheer practice! :) I had a wonderful time getting back to do the thing I love most in this world. Later, I went to Rising Stars Therapeutic Center, where I volenteer, and had a great time with the kids, horses and other volenteers. When I got home, two surprises were waiting for me. The 1st: a letter from a missionary in Brazil. His name is Elder Goncalves and he was roomates with my brother, (who is also currently in Brazil), and he saw a photo of me and decided to write me a letter. The 2nd surprise: a '79 4WD Ford truck! :) My dad bought it and I get to help him fix it up. It will be my 1st "project car" that I get to learn on and then (hopefully) drive. :)

Wednesday: I woke up at 5 a.m. to go to the temple like I do every Wednesday morning, only to find out that my recommend expired 6 days previous. :( So, after 30 minutes of searching for my other, more current recommend, I gave up and went back to bed for an hour, then got up and went to cheer practice again. Immediately after cheer, my brother picked me up to go to piano lessons. After that, we picked up some parts for the truck, came home, worked on the truck for a few hours and then I went to mutual (where all we did was go to Kiwi Loco for some yogurt). Afterward, I went on a date with my brother. He took my great friend Bailey Whitedhead, and I went with her cousin Brandon. The other couple with us was another of Bailey's cousins Cassin and Jessica. We went to Kiwi Loco and I enjoyed my 3rd yogurt of the week there. When we were done, we drove back to the Whitehead's and watched 17 Again (love that movie!!:). I didn't get home until 12:30 and didn't even get in trouble. It was great.

Thursday: Overslept by almost a whole hour and was late to cheer practice, but didn't get in trouble. While I was there, I accomplished one of my goals and got the splits. On both sides. :) It was great. Later that day, I went on a bike ride with Hayden. We stopped in the park a had a pleasant chat, and then I went to work.

So far, it has been a very pleasant week. I'm living my life and enjoying my summer. :)

Just a Kiss

I just found this song and it's officially my new favorite. I love country music and I love Lady Antebellum:)

Trying Something New

So, lately I've been reading some pretty awesome blogs by a few friends of mine. I think they're absolutely adorable, and pretty much all-around amazing. So I've been inspired to try one of my own. If it's like anything else I've previously tried, I'll keep it up for a few weeks or more and then quit. Not that I like to view myself as a quitter... I prefer to think of it as someone who likes to try new things. And sometimes, after you've tried something a few times, you finally decide that it's great for some people, buuut it's not really your thing.

RANDOM QUOTE: When trying something new, make sure to do it at least 3 times. The 1st: to get over your fear of doing it. The 2nd: to really learn how to do it. And the 3rd: to see if you actually like it.

I don't exactly remember where I heard that.... but I've always remembered it and it's been one of my favorites. Except, I don't think it's completely accurate, so I just won't put quotation marks around it.

So.... ya. That's me:) I'm going out on a limb, trying something new, and hopefully it works out for me. I don't think I'll tell anyone about it, so the only "followers" I expect to have, (if any), are probably going to be random people who just happen to randomly find my blog and just by random chance, actually care. So, to any random person out there who takes the time to read this, thank you:)

This is my 1st official post: getting over my fear of having my very own, personal blog.
